美國電信業者 Verizon 稍早宣布獨家推出 HTC One (M8) for Windows 微軟智慧型手機。 HTC One (M8) for Windows 硬體規格，甚至就連外型都與宏達電現役旗艦手機 HTC One (M8) 相同，同樣採用金屬機身設計、5 吋 HD Super LCD 3 觸控螢幕、1,920 x 1,080pixels 解析度，2GB ROM，配備 UltraPixel 感光元件相機，以及 HTC BoomSound 音效技術，支援 4G LTE 上網。

在傳出了無數流言以後，HTC、微軟終於在今天聯手 Verizon，發表了暫時由後者獨佔的 Windows Phone 版 M8。

The HTC One M8 for WIndows was released in August 2014. The device features identical hardware to that of the flagship HTC One M8 Android device, with the only difference being this one runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1.1.

HTC One (M8)有兩個軟體來幫助使用者設定新手機：分別是 HTC Get Start 和強化版的 HTC Sync Manager，能在電腦上透過網路設定手機，並提供熱門新聞頻道、程式快速安裝、鈴聲設定、書籤、桌布與解鎖畫面設定等功能。
